"SUMMER PALACE @ REGENT Hotel,Singapore - Re-Visited Yum Cha on April 17 2011

Read in the Weekend Business Times that their Chef Liu Ching Hai has more than 20 years of culinary experience and to expand his repertoire,he recently worked with Executive Chef Chan Yan Tak at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong - LUNG KING HEEN ( the World's 1st Chinese Restaurant awarded with three Michelin Stars ! )

And recently SUMMER PALACE had undergone a makeover such as their handcrafted silk wallpaper wrapped around the pillars,plush carpeting & i liked the smart design of the staff wear ! And of course,their owner's excellent taste of paintings & antiques collection displayed :



 Another important note : their Dim Sum Chef Leung Kwok Sing have been crafting delicate Dim Sum and Desserts for the last 25 years.So i was looking forward to check out their current Promo Set Lunch Menu : $38++ per person ( minimum 4 paxs per table ) :

Pan Fried Turnip Cake
Deep Fried Yam Puffs With Garoupa
Please note there was actually one more Dim Sum Item - Prawn Dumplings With Bird Nest which is not featured here ( the image was not well taken ! ) And next was their Soup of the day that i enjoyed very much :

Melon With Dried Oyster and Pork


And then their Chef's Signature Roast Meat Platter - Suckling Pig / Roasted Duck / Roasted Chicken / Jellyfish :


And next was their Poached Vegetable cooked with Superior Stock :



After this,i have requested for the Chef's Signature Fried Rice ( which i enjoyed very much ! ) :



And finally i requested for their Special Dessert - Chilled Double Boiled Pear with Chinese Herbs ( which i also enjoyed very much & i'm already looking forward to my next Yum Cha there to taste other desserts ! )



And i was especially happy and pleased with the excellent service and attention of their experienced Manager - JULIA LAI for our very enjoyable Sunday Yum Cha today ! And of course i assured her that there will be future visits to taste the other Chef's Signature Creations liked - Beggar's Chicken / Braised Superior Bird's Nest with Lobster and Gold Leaf / Steamed Glutinous Rice with Crab served in Bamboo Basket ! So watch out for any Updated Post on the above !!!

BALACLAVA @ ION Orchard,Singapore - FAV Chilled Out Drinks - Year 2011- ( CLOSED )


Late last year,i bumped into my Super Entreprising friend - Sam ( Yeo ) at ION and he told he was busy with setting up the above.His KPO is very successful and happening ! And since i am mostly around Orchard area,i was more than happy to introduce the above to my good buddy - JL for our TGIF Happy Hour !!!

Chill Out With Asahi Super Dry Time !!!

We usually kick start our TGIF with early morning Golf so it was great to catch up again in the evening to "chill out" at the above.Liked the Cosy,Comfortable & Sophisticated Decor especially the Black Screen Sliding Door and Large Fans ( liked featured in some movie setting ! ).Also it's the unique location - at the 5 / F Car Park in ION ! Will be a good idea to hang out there in case there's a massive traffic jam or after too much shopping you need some place to have some drinks ! Anyway i much prefer this location than their ex-Suntec joint a long time ago !

We were too early there to enjoy any DJ music.And there is also Live Music on certain nites ! And also we were not Blue Label Drinkers so we were not seated in their VIP area ! But the TGIF feeling was still great !!!

PALIO @ Level.2 Hotel Michael,Resort World Sentosa,Singapore - 1st Dinner - Year 2010

Was thinking about my Eats last year at above & i would like to recommend this authentic Tuscan cooking style Eats to all my Friends & Foodies who have no idea where to have dinner before a Concert at RWS.

 The decor is cosy,casual and trendy with Open Kitchen concept ( which make it's more appetizing and interesting ! )  :



And here the Chef was busy preparing our Spaghetti Vongole for our pre-concert dinner party :




And since we were there for a concert,a light Dinner Menu was prepared and we couldn't try out their Signature Eats liked - Linguine al Aragosta - Half Boston Loster in arrabbiata spicy tomato sauce ( which was served on several tables ! )

And also their Best Seller - " thin crusted" Pizza Michael - Fresh Mediterranean Seafood on a bed of Rich Tomato Paste with not too cheesy delicious fillings !!!

Of course our enjoyable dinner need to have a Sweet Finale :


And many thanks to Palio Crew for their excellent service and also our good host - KK,it was VVIP treatment all the way & just in time for our concert !!!
