"SUMMER PALACE @ REGENT Hotel,Singapore - Re-Visited Yum Cha on April 17 2011

Read in the Weekend Business Times that their Chef Liu Ching Hai has more than 20 years of culinary experience and to expand his repertoire,he recently worked with Executive Chef Chan Yan Tak at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong - LUNG KING HEEN ( the World's 1st Chinese Restaurant awarded with three Michelin Stars ! )

And recently SUMMER PALACE had undergone a makeover such as their handcrafted silk wallpaper wrapped around the pillars,plush carpeting & i liked the smart design of the staff wear ! And of course,their owner's excellent taste of paintings & antiques collection displayed :



 Another important note : their Dim Sum Chef Leung Kwok Sing have been crafting delicate Dim Sum and Desserts for the last 25 years.So i was looking forward to check out their current Promo Set Lunch Menu : $38++ per person ( minimum 4 paxs per table ) :

Deep Fried Yam Puffs With Garoupa
Please note there was actually one more Dim Sum Item - Prawn Dumplings With Bird Nest which is not featured here ( the image was not well taken ! ) And next was their Soup of the day that i enjoyed very much :

Melon With Dried Oyster and Pork


And then their Chef's Signature Roast Meat Platter - Suckling Pig / Roasted Duck / Roasted Chicken / Jellyfish :


And next was their Poached Vegetable cooked with Superior Stock :



After this,i have requested for the Chef's Signature Fried Rice ( which i enjoyed very much ! ) :



And finally i requested for their Special Dessert - Chilled Double Boiled Pear with Chinese Herbs ( which i also enjoyed very much & i'm already looking forward to my next Yum Cha there to taste other desserts ! )



And i was especially happy and pleased with the excellent service and attention of their experienced Manager - JULIA LAI for our very enjoyable Sunday Yum Cha today ! And of course i assured her that there will be future visits to taste the other Chef's Signature Creations liked - Beggar's Chicken / Braised Superior Bird's Nest with Lobster and Gold Leaf / Steamed Glutinous Rice with Crab served in Bamboo Basket ! So watch out for any Updated Post on the above !!!
