WINE TASTING & SPECIAL SALES - YEAR 2012

Probably this will be a good idea that I have this Posting on all the Wines that I have Tasted and Brought for My Dad and myself to Drink and Enjoy weekly for Good Health !!! Because in the past - Once the Bottles are stored and without any proper records or reference,we usually forget "where or when this or that Wine came from ?" ;-)

Another good thing is that - "I can start learning more about Wine from the Low Budget ( below $50 ) to Mid Range ( $150 onwards ) and later those for Collecting ( $500 onwards ) !!! ;-)

JAPANESE FINE FOOD OSHII MONTH @ ISETAN SCOTTS SUPERMARKET ( Basement ) - YEAR 2012

Since I have no immediate Holiday Plans for JAPAN,I always look forward to the - JAPANESE FINE FOOD OSHII MONTH @ ISETAN SCOTTS where I can know better the different places in Japan ! And of course,I can enjoy - Tastings for their OSHII Japanese RAMEN,Milk Ice Cream,Fresh Imported Fruits that are in Season in Japan and there are others Special Eats too !!! ;-)

- March 2012 - SPRING KYUSHU FAIR -

- RAMEN from KYUSHU - I enjoy this "guest Ramen Chef" from different parts of Japan.And the set up is liked those "small Ramen Shops in Japan" where you can really slurp loudly to let the Japanese Boss know that you really enjoy the taste !!! ;-)

Tasting Notes - I enjoyed the Freshly Cooked Ramen and the Taste was truly Japanese ( especially not too much MSG !!! ) especially there was a Drum Performance from the Boys and Girls from Fukuoka Prefecture !!! ;-)

LUK YU TEAHOUSE @ ION ORCHARD ( CLOSED ) - "My New FAV Afternoon Yum Cha Eats !" - March 23 2011

During my "Scenic or Eats Hunt Walks thru' ION" I have actually walked by LUK YU Teahouse from Hong Kong ( see Address below ! ) so many times,then last friday afternoon I thought of enjoying a light Dim Sum Eats and I also wanted to taste their Egg Tart - Hong Kong style,so I walked over to  ION Basement !!! ;-)

Then I noticed that LUK YU have a Nice & Cosy Private Dining Section ( Probably I guessed not many realise that in this ION Food Court,you can enjoy this !!! And interestingly it's the Tourist liked Japanese and others that actually enjoy this Eats !!! ) And I really like their Piped In Music and Lighting - that's really great for Reading Newspapers !!! ;-)

And of course I am most happy that there were lots of Chinese AROMATIC Tea that I can Pair With My Meal to appreciate and enjoy !!! -

So far I have tasted their PU ER ( I enjoyed tis !!! ) Lychee RED Tea and OOLONG !!! And there's also a display of their LUK YU Chinese Collection that you can buy !!! ;-)

On the table,I noticed their Promotion for their Exquisite Dim Sum -

OLD HONG KONG KITCHEN @ SQUARE 2 @ NOVENA - "1st Time Dinner Tastings" - March 21 2012

Heard from my Good Friend - KIE that he quite enjoyed Yum Cha @ OLD HONG KONG @ both Raffles City and Novena @ Square 2 !!! And since I was there to get my haircut from my Fav Hairstylist - Bee Leng from QB House ( Best Deal for $10 - Even the Doctors from nearby is her Regulars !!! ) And it was "peak hours" to catch MRT ride back to Orchard so I thought it was a "good time" to check out & enjoy OLD HONG KONG KITCHEN !!! ;-)

When I arrived about 7pm,I could "select any table I wanted ( please take note that "the booth seating may be a bit warm from the lighting above the table !" ) but not too long,it was almost packed !!! And even their "Lady Boss" was there for dinner with her friends !!! ;-)

Immediately I have a good impression of OLD HONG KONG because of their HEALTHY TEA MENU !!! Because I LUV all Chinese Premium or Gourmet TEA !!! And I decided to order - ROSE TEA - $3.20 - "Good For Stamina and Beautifying Properties.And a Good Detox Agent" -

A good 1st Time too that I was served by a nice & friendly waitress & she highly recommended their Current Promotion - Braised Whole Abalone With Shark's Fin Rice - $16.80 per pax !!! -

"Be Careful The Claypot Is VERY HOT When Served !!!"

Tasting Notes - I enjoyed tis very much - Taste was good and the Price was also Very Good !!! ;-)

Of course,I studied their MENU for their Most Popular Dessert and I was Recommended -Mashed Taro with Almond Cream Served in a Coconut - $7.50 -

Tasting Notes - All I can share that "it was really worth the wait ( because it took liked 25mins ! ) because I especially enjoy ALMOND Cream and with Mashed Taro !!! And the Taste becomes better and better especially when you scrap the Coconut that blend so well !!! ;-)

I look forward to watch KYM NG's Just Noodles every thursday nite 830pm because there are always some of my Fav Eats featured !!! And other Eats I have tasted before a long time ago so after watching the program ( usually I will be so hungry that the next morning,if I have time,I will have a "Double Breakfast" just liked below - FEI FEI then DUNMAN !!! ;-)

But I personally still rate my FAV - KOK KEE WANTON NOODLES still the Best !!! ;-)

Tasting Notes - Maybe I need to do a Re-Visit since the Boss was not there !!! ;-)

Arrived there about 10am,maybe the timing so there was no customer at all ! And I expected the Boss to be there ! Not a Regular there so needed time to look at the Menu but their PRC staff & Auntie were liked "so eager to serve & ready to collect me $$$ !!!" So I just order a Small Plate ( that actually does not include a small bowl of soup ? I guessed you need to order a bowl of WonTon Dumpling Soup ! ) So just ate the above in 5 mins & since there was still time before my Car Park Coupon expire ! So I just drove over to -

Tasting Notes - WonTon were a bit salty and the Noodles needed extra chewing !!! ;-)

- When I arrived,I noticed most of the stalls are closed except the above.And the Boss was most happy to serve me ! ;-)

- Of course there's my All Time Fav ( since my SJI Schooldays !!! ) - NAM SENG @ CHINA SQUARE -
