"CAFFE B @ The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands" - 1st Lunch Tastings On December 18 2010

After an enjoyable TGIF with my best buddy JL @ newly opened - BARLACAVA @ ION with almost "free flow of ASAHI Super Dry and almost tasted all their Bites Menu ( which i will post soon ! ) i decided that i will have Brunch today !" So hopped onto my ride from Orchard MRT to Raffles MRT and then walked over to the newly opened MARINA BAY FINANCIAL CENTRE to check out any Interesting latest eats there before my scenic route along the waterfront to THE SHOPPES AT MARINA BAY SANDS.And i enjoyed this with cool, windy and blue skies ! Life is fun at last in SG !!!

I have been reading reviews and recently i was having all these Latest Eats in mind liked - "CAFFE B,CUT & MOZZA" there !!! And it was actually - "DB BISTRO MODERNE" that had "the most inviting decor from front !"....Earlier both CUT and MOZZA seem liked they were "not ready for lunch with both receptionist busy doing something & with their restaurant dimly lit up !"...So i was pleased with my final decision to taste and enjoy the newly opened,chic - fine dining Italian dining with a Italian trained Japanese Chef -CAFFE B - ( it actually gave me the feeling of dining in a trendy & hip Omato-sando Tokyo because the Interior was designed by a renowned Japanese Designer ! ) of course it was important that i was happy that the Receptionist was most welcoming & she escorted me to my table ( actually it was liked i almost booked the whole place this afternoon...till a party showed up at their exclusive - Teppan or Grill Room later ! ) And during my very enjoyable brunch experience i was well taken care by my friendly & attentive filipino waitress - Earl ( ex-Palio,RWS ) and later the Malaysian Chinese manager CK ( ex-Forlino ) ! It was truly 5 Star excellent VIP service !!!

I was told that the Japanese owners have "invested almost S$2mil into the 100 seater with their Bay Front Bar facing the scenic Marina Bay with also alfresco dining opening soon !"...And their Wine List was impressive !!!...

After studying their menu for awhile and checking with Earl on their "signature pasta & mains & desserts" ( of course she recommended me their most expensive items liked Linguine with live Boston Lobster and Grilled Wagyu Sirloin...but since their Chef was Japanese i much preferred more Italian Japanese style cooking style eats ) i ordered the following :

PASTA - Fideline With Japanese Sakura EBI Shrimp & Dried Mullet Roe - $32.00

PESCE - Tonnina Giapponese Grigliata Alla Salsa Salmonoriglio e in Salata Wasabi
- Grilled Japanese Hon Maguro Blue Fin Tuna With A Wasabi Leaf & Herb Salad,Drizzled With Extra Virgin Oil - $38.00

DOLCI - Gelato Orientale - Assorted Japanese Gelato - Green Tea,Black Sesame & Vanilla - $12.00

Hazelnut Latte - $6.50

Relaxed Saturday Brunch !!! ;-)
