Since it was my 1st ever Dinner with my No.1 Buddy JL in Hong Kong.And i checked with him earlier on his preference.And i know that he would definitely will enjoy a nice fine Cantonese Eats.So i was happy to arranged at the above
which is liked a 10 mins leisure nite walk past the famous ChungKing Mansion ( which was featured in HK movies ) & masses of shoppers & street walkers from our Hotel ! It was really great & a refreshing experience in Tsim Sha Tsui,Kowloon vs my regular stays in Causeway Bay on Hong Kong Island ! ( Only wished that the weather was cooler ! ) ;-)
During our dinner on a Saturday,there were only several tables taken up ( maybe it's because it was their Kowloon branch or strong competition from nearby & newer Michelin Star Eats liked SUN TUNG LOK - fully booked Or CUISINE CUISINE @ The MIRA - looked interesting ! ) But then it was great for us because we had a nice comfortable table at a private corner area in their Gold,Silver & Bronze color Decor which blend very well with their Menu with all the Expensive Signature Eats liked Roasted Suckling Pig,Braised Exquisite Grade Shark's Fins,Braised Abalone & many more including Double Boiled Bird's Nest ! ;-)
Interestingly Fook Lam Moon have earned a reputation as "the Canteen of the Rich & Famous" so i was looking forward to enjoy their other Signature or Seasonal Eats !!! ( Must return for their - "BROILED SLICED FRESH WHELK - which was Sold Out ! )
And of course we always enjoy a good "DAILY SOUP" ( HKD 400 ) especially in Hong Kong.And after tasting,then you will know their Chef's standard :
And of course their famous & Must Taste - "CRISPY CHICKEN" ( HKD190 for 1/2 serving ) which tasted so delicious !
Another Signature Eats & Must Taste - that i was really wanted to taste was - "BAKED CRAB'S SHELL" - ( HKD 320 for 2 ) with onions and fresh crab meat stuffed in the crab shell - just the thought of the taste,i really miss it !!! ;-)
And from their Seasonal Menu - JL selected their - "DEEP FRIED OYSTERS ( HKD 240 for 2 ) for Tastings - was interesting for a change from Fresh Oysters ( and it tasted really yummy with our ASAHI BEER ! ) :
And another Signature Eats that i had in mind was their - "STEAMED FRIED RICE In LOTUS LEAF" - ( HKD 180 ) which we enjoyed :
And i was told a long time ago that FRIED RICE is another very Basic Eats that any fine Cantonese restaurant Chef must cook it well & some are even famous for it liked FU HO - "Fried Rice AH YUNG" !
I must comment that their service from the Reception to the Main Dining Hall was attentive ! And only wish that i could return soon to taste their Dim Sum which is considered "one of the Best !"
Then it was Desserts Time - with our pot of Hot "Iron Buddha" Chinese Tea ( HKD 40 ) changed and a plate of Complimentary Chinese Desserts which was really delicious ! :
And in addition the above,i ordered my Fav Chinese Desserts - "ALMOND CREAM" - ( HKD 50 ) which tasted so rich with pure almond liked the Chef just prepared it !!! Still thinking about the special taste !!! ;-)
And their Manager recommended another Chinese Dessert for us to enjoy - "MAH LAI KO" ( HKD 50 ) which was steamed & smell so nice !!!
It was really a Sweet Finale to our Enjoyable Dinner !!!
Will add the above to my Fav Eats in Hong Kong !!!
