CAPRI TRATTORIA & PIZZERIA @ BINJAI PARK,Singapore - "Finally Lunch Tasting & Good Chat With LUCA !!!" - March 14 2012

Since my good friend - Geoffrey EU review - "Hearty Italian cuisine at CAPRI Trattoria & Pizzeria" - The Business Times - Tues Aug 30 2011,I have been looking forward to check out and taste their Signature Dishes !!! But there just too many New Eats in Orchard and in the City that 'distracted" my plans !!! ;-)

So with today's cool weather after the early morning rain & also my good friend - KIE was available for a late lunch tasting,I though it was an excellent idea to enjoy CAPRI !!! ;-)

With LUCA Iannome

When we arrived,there was only another table taken ! The NEW Italian Eats novelty have gone ? Uncertain economic times this year have definitely affected most businesses !!! Only the Fittest & Strongest will survive !!! Anyway I was told by their Pilipino staff that "it's usually packed from Thursday to Weekends !!!" Guessed it must be "hungry Foodies from Bukit Timah" looking for good Pasta and Pizzas !!! ;-)

DECOR - Liked their "Casual Italian Dining style" !!! Especially with the Whitewashed rock walls,Red Bricks & Ceramic Tiles....as Luca mentioned about his home at Maiori,which along the Amalfi coast....guessed it must be really scenic & beautiful there !!! Perhaps he should have look to expand in another location near the sea in the future !!! ;-)

Anyway for my good friend - Kie & myself - it's actually great timing because their Chef will be just cooking for our 1st Lunch Tastings !!! The Menu look quite standard with reasonable prices ! ( Request Luca to arrange some Special Italian Eats that's not in the Menu next Tastings !!! ;-) ) And of course we have to order their Signature Dishes below -

Scialatielli di Capri ( Chef's Recommendation ) - $24
Oven-baked home made long pasta paper-wrapped
with seafood,cherry tomatoes,white wine sauce,garlic & parsley

Tartufata - $25
Mozzarella cheese,truffle cream,porcini mushrooms,smoked cheese,
shaved parmesan

Tagliata di manzo al rosmarino - $34
- Sliced beef grilled with rosemary sauce,served with rocket salad,
dressed in balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese

And of course a Good & Enjoyable Italian Meal is never complete with Tasting their DOLCI Menu !!! ;-)
