ARMANI / AQUA @ CHATER HOUSE,CENTRAL,HONG KONG - ( CLOSED ) - "1st Lunch Tastings" on Nov 5 2011

Since i pre-planned to Re-Visit some Famous Eats liked YUNG KEE,FOOK LAM MOON & of course my No.1 Fav Italian Eats - "8 1/2 e MEZZO OTTO & also check out other Highly Recommended Eats liked SUSHI HIRO & SHANGHAI MIN ! And i wanted to experience the above ARMANI / AQUA :

 so to feel "lighter & fitter" i actually packed my Gym Gear for this HK trip ! But i  managed to do a light morning workout @ the Sheraton Gym ( with a scenic view ) only once during my 4 nites stay there.Because on the other mornings i decided to do "morning street morning walks" instead because that was the "best time for me to "exercise & explore Kowloon without bumping into masses of shoppers & taxis !!!" ;-)

Since both - GIORGIO & EMPORIO ARMANI have been my Fav Fashion Label for the longest time ! I was happy that one weekend a few months ago I was watching CNBC & Bernard Lo was doing a introduction & interview with the founder of the AQUA Restaurant Group ( Hutong,WasabiSabi,Aqua & others ) - ex-lawyer - David Yeo on the opening of the above.And this can only happen in trend setting & foodie haven - Hong Kong !!! And then i have posted in my Facebook that i look forward to check & taste the above in my future HK trip !!! ;-)

Since i only ate my Fav Wife's Cake from HANG HEUNG for Breakfast,i was feeling a bit hungry on the Star Ferry.After the scenic ride then a short walk into CHATER HOUSE which have both my Fav ARMANI shops,then now enter ARMANI AQUA with the sliding doors opening with a WOW feeling ! Lined with mirrors,arches,pillars and red lighting.....

and when you walk towards the next sliding door opening slow motion & expecting more....it reveal the bar area.....

And directly behind this Bar,it will be the SUSHI COUNTER with a conveyor belt that disappears behind a mirror wall.......

Since it was Saturday in Central where it's usually packed with busy suited executives during the weekdays,i could actually select any table i prefer for my 1st Lunch Tasting ! ;-)

And interestingly here in ARMANI / AQUA - the Menu selections will be prepared by Two Kitchens managed by - ITALIAN Eats by Executive Chef  - ERNESTO TONETTO ( Ex-VA BENE,Hong Kong - which i have been there for dinner many years ago because it was very hot then ! ) Or JAPANESE Eats by Exec Chef - TATSUYA IWAHASHI.And there East May Meet West but NO FUSION Eats !!! ;-)

Since last meal i enjoyed was my Japanese Dinner @ SUSHI HIRO,i decided on a "introduction option" - their "PRANZO" - Italian Set Lunch - HK$288 - ( the following eats from Antipasti / Starter, Minestra / Main Course to Dolce / Dessert - was highly recommended by this young smiling waitress ! )

Zuppa di Funghi,Cotechino e finocchio
- Mushroom soup,cotechino sausage and fennel

Merluzzo al sapore de rosmarino con Insalatina
- Roasted Cod flavored with rosemary and seasonal salad

Torta de mele calda con crema di Vaniglia
- Warm Apple Tart with vanilla sauce

Earl Grey Tea With Honey

The above Italian Set Menu & Service - I personally Rate : 7/10 and for my next trip if i do return,then it will be their Japanese Set Lunch Menu till there are more raving reviews on any Signature Eats on their Ala Carte Menu !!!
